Hello! I like this picture, and happen to be writing a story set in a similar moonlit valley. Would it be all right with you if I used a thumbnail of this picture as a header for the story, with credit and a link given to the original? The story is rated no worse than PG-13.
This is... just stunning, really. I wish I had something more substantial to say, but the more I look at the piece the more the words sort of wander off. Tripped into your gallery by accident, and never have I taken a more pleasant fall. This piece is gorgeous, the way the night looks lit up by fire and life is incredible, and the detail of the bridges and buildings catches the eye and refuses to let go. Simply beautiful.
Hm, if I remember correctly, a song from the Shadow Hearts 2 soundtrack inspired me, I think it's titled "by a mustache hair". It sounded like something that would play when funny little gnomes who live in the lanternvalley would scuttle about. The other was a very christmasy picture by another artist, who I think goes under the nickname of PaperBlue. Inititally, I had other colors in mind, but after seeing the image of said artist, I think I wanted to try out similar saturated contrasting colors.
why isnt this a print?! omg its fantastic! have you ever played a ps1 game called legend of mana? well theres a city in the game thats called lumnia that sells lamps and kinda looks like this.....not to say that you copied or what not.....oh no, i truly love this piece! if i could fav this more than once i would!
I love it. Plain and simple. This town? seems like it would be calm and tranquil during the day and come alive with festivals and fun at night! At least thats what I got from the way it looks and the colors.
That was really my first reaction at this... amazing painting! This is incredible, really. The colors, the concept, everything! A magical little piece of artwork, I tell you. Not even the many colors can make it look cluttered; it just feels right to use that palette. I love it all, but especially the hill-encrusted houses. It's an used concept, but you managed to keep it original and very refreshing (the colors help a lot in that part). It's a lovely composition. The high contrast of the lights is lovely, and it works wonders.
